Parking & Shuttles
WHILE WE DO OUR BEST TO PROVIDE SHUTTLES, BE PREPARED TO WALK AND REVIEW SHUTTLE SCHEDULES AS YOU PLAN YOUR WEEKEND.
Directions below refer to colors on the Google Map.
Pageant
General parking enters through the purple gate at Indian Oil. Guests are shuttled on a tractor-pulled, hay-rack ride to the top of the amphitheater.
Handicapped and bus parking should enter through the blue gate (Memorial Peace Park). Golf carts will shuttle guests and their chairs to the top of the amphitheater.
Powwow
General powwow parking (green) is south of the Powwow Grounds. Guests walk along a mulched trail to the 26′ teepee to enter.
Handicapped-accessible and participant parking is available on the west side of the Powwow Grounds.
Rodeo
General parking is near the west entrance (red); attendants on horseback will guide guests.
Handicapped attendees and participants may drive to the ticket gate and request entrance to park at the arena.
Red Brick District
Handicapped parking is designated on First Ave (west of Main St) and Washington Ave (east of Main St). Main Street is pedestrian-only between these two streets, and Kansas Ave is pedestrian-only for one block each side of Main Street.
Shuttles to Memorial Peace Park will run on the half hour from the corner of Main & Washington (Peace Treaty Mural & Office) following the parades and through the afternoon. Shuttles will also run from Main Street to the rodeo on Friday and Saturday evenings.

What to Know
Prepare to walk
Wear closed-toe walking shoes. Look for signage for designated handicapped parking.
Do not bring prohibited items
Coolers, outside food and beverages, alcoholic beverages and glass containers of any kind are not allowed (food vendors will be on-site). Pets — with the exception of on-duty service animals — are not allowed.
On-site alcohol sales (21+)
Alcoholic beverages will be sold at the rodeo and dance. Bring proper ID. No alcohol permitted at the powwow grounds.
Plan an enjoyable weekend at Memorial Peace Park
Bags may be inspected at the ticket gate. Consider wearing a hat, sunscreen and bug repellent. Chairs and blankets are recommended for the powwow. Please help us preserve this unique venue by ensuring all trash is picked up and placed in a receptacle. Do not pile waste on or around bins as the Kansas wind can easily carry litter across the grounds.
All of our events take place in the fresh air and outdoors so plan accordingly. Parking is free, and designated parking areas are marked. Please know that this is an outdoor event and parking is in a mowed pasture. Reserved handicapped parking or drop-off is available and will be marked with signage.
There are two entrances to Memorial Peace Park.
